NDIS Transport Support
For many participants, the barrier to attending appointments, work, education, or community activities is not the destination, it's getting there. Transport support addresses that barrier directly, with a worker who understands your condition and how it affects your travel.
- Medical appointments, specialist visits, and allied health sessions
- Work, education, and training programs
- Community activities, social outings, and cultural events
- Shopping, errands, and practical community access
- Building confidence and skills for independent travel over time
Missing an Appointment Is Not Just an Inconvenience
When a participant cannot get to their physiotherapy session, specialist review, or day program, the impact compounds. The therapy gap widens. The plan review is less supported by current clinical data. The social connection doesn't happen. For people managing complex physical conditions, transport sits at the centre of whether their plan actually delivers anything.
For participants building toward independence, we can work alongside you on public transport routes, support you to navigate timetables and interchanges, and gradually reduce the level of assistance as your confidence grows.
Self & Plan-Managed Friendly
We support self-managed and plan-managed participants.

Specialized Transport Aid
Logistics and coordination for modified, mobility-friendly transit vehicles.
Flexible Journey Care
On-demand assistance for social trips, personal errands, or medical visits.
Transit Skill Development
Structured travel training sessions are designed to promote long-term personal autonomy.
The Trips That Keep Your Plan Working
Transport support covers a wide range of journey types. What they share is a worker who treats the journey as part of your care.
Medical & Allied Health Appointments
Getting to GP visits, specialist, physiotherapy, hospital reviews, and any other health-related appointments that form part of your NDIS plan or ongoing care.
Work & Study
Regular travel to and from supported employment, open employment, TAFE, university, or short courses. Consistent timing is important here and we plan routes and schedules accordingly.
Public Transport Training
For participants building toward independent travel, we help you train, and learn bus routes including reading timetables, navigating interchanges, managing Myki, and handling delays.
Community & Social Activities
Day programs, community groups, sporting activities, cultural events, social outings, and any community participation activity where getting there is part of making it happen.

Follow 3 Easy Steps To Begin
A conversation, a plan, and support that starts.

Make an Enquiry
Call us or send a message. Tell us your condition, your goals, and what has, or hasn't, worked with other providers. We will be honest about whether we are the right fit before you commit to anything.

Match & Plan Together
Edson reviews your NDIS plan, speaks with your support coordinator if you have one, and builds a support schedule around what you are actually trying to achieve, not a standard package.

Begin Your Support
Visits start on schedule. Your goals are tracked. Your clinical team is kept in the loop. And you have direct contact access to Edson, not an ordinary call centre, if anything needs adjusting anytime.
Understanding Funding & Pricing
Transport Support is typically funded under Core Supports — Transport in NDIS plans, or through TAC rehabilitation budgets. This covers coordination and accompaniment. The cost of taxis or rideshare is claimed separately from the same budget.
A plan manager handles invoicing and claims. We invoice them directly — no paperwork or out-of-pocket payments for you.
- Zero paperwork — plan manager handles everything
- Still full provider choice (registered or not)
- No out-of-pocket payments to worry about

Transport Often Works Alongside These Supports
These services are frequently used alongside community participation support by Kind Freedom participants.
Community Participation
Transport and community participation often sit in the same shift, the worker help the participant to the activity and remains present throughout. These two support work when delivered by the same person.
Learn More →Daily Living Assistance
Morning routine support that flows into a transport run is a common and efficient combination. The same worker handles both, reducing transition complexity and keeping the support familiar.
Learn More →Life Skills & Independence
Public transport training and travel planning are life skills goals for many participants. Building confidence on routes toward employment or community participation is a structured, goal-based process we can support.
