Every participant's routine is different. Below is the full range of tasks our daily living support covers, your support plan will reflect what is relevant to your situation.

Personal Care

Showering, bathing, grooming, oral hygiene, dressing, and skin care. Delivered with dignity and at your pace, we follow your preference for how each task is done, not a standard checklist.

Meal Preparation

Preparing, and cooking meals that suit your dietary needs, and any clinical recommendations from your dietitian. We can work alongside to assist fully, depending on your goals.

Household Tasks

Cleaning, vacuuming, laundry, dishes, tidying, and basic home maintenance tasks that keep your living environment safe, healthy, and comfortable. Prioritised according to what matters most to you.

Home Safety Support

How Daily Living Assistance Is Funded Under Your NDIS Plan

Daily living assistance is typically funded under Core Supports, Assistance with Daily Personal Activities in NDIS plans, or through TAC rehabilitation budgets. This is one of the most flexible budget categories.

Yes. Daily living assistance is funded under your Core Supports budget, specifically the Assistance with Daily Life support category (01_002). This is typically one of the largest budget categories in an NDIS plan for participants with physical disability. If you are not sure whether this is in your current plan, your plan manager or support coordinator can confirm it for you. We are also happy to look at your plan with you over the phone.

This depends entirely on your condition, your living situation, and your goals. Some participants need 1–2 hours each morning. Others have multiple visits throughout the week. When we first speak with you, we will go through your daily routine in detail and give you an honest estimate of how many hours would make a practical difference. We will not recommend more than what is genuinely useful.

Yes, and we encourage it. Before support starts, we work through a detailed support plan with you that lists which tasks you want assistance with, which ones you prefer to manage yourself, and how you like each task done. Your support worker follows that plan. If your preferences change, we update the plan. You are in control of what your support looks like.

Yes. Kind Freedom's model is built around consistency, you work with the same qualified support worker at every scheduled visit. In the rare event of planned leave, we give you advance notice and discuss arrangements. We do not use agency fill-in workers. If a visit cannot be covered, we reschedule rather than send someone unfamiliar with your situation.

That is something we specifically prepare for. Conditions like MS, Parkinson's, and post-stroke recovery can vary significantly day to day. Our support workers are trained to assess function at the start of each visit and adjust the level of assistance accordingly. You should never feel that you have to push through a difficult day unaided because the plan says you normally manage a task independently.

Absolutely, and this is where Kind Freedom's Allied Health qualification makes a real difference. If your physiotherapist, OT, or speech pathologist has given you a program to practise at home, we can incorporate that into your daily living sessions. Your support hours then work toward your clinical goals, not just completing tasks. We keep notes and share progress with your clinical team as required.

Switching is straightforward and entirely your right. You give your current provider written notice as per your service agreement, usually between 5 and 15 business days. We can help you manage the process and coordinate with your plan manager so there is no gap in support during the changeover. Call us and we will walk you through it step by step.
